3.5-8 x 1-3 cm, deciduous, leathery; oblong to lanceolate; apex obtuse or acute and mucronate; base cuneate or obtuse; margin flat, thick but not revolute, with 3-5 pairs of mucronate teeth from base to apex; dark shiny green above, glabrous or with some stellate hairs near the base of the midrib; dull, densely tomentose beneath, with appressed stellate and simple hairs, except on bigger veins; 5-8 vein pairs, slightly impressed above, prominent beneath; epidermis papillose; petiole 2-5 cm long, with stellate hairs;
