acorn ovoid, 1.8 cm long, 1.5 cm wide, glabrous; enclosed 1/2 by cup; cup stalkless, 1.5 cm long, 1.8 cm wide, apically strongly tomentose; 9-11 concentric rings, margin basal ones denticulate, others entire; scar 1 cm wide, flat.
