Growth Habit

Leaves

7-16 x 6-9 cm; oval or elliptic; apex subacute or obtuse, mucronate; base rounded or subcordate; entire or remotely dentate near apex, undulate or crispate; rough above at first (short hairs), then hairless except on veins; flaky beneath, with a stellate tomentum hardly persistent; 8 pairs of lateral veins, impressed obove and raised beneath, at an angle of 35-40° with the midrib; petiole 1-1.6 cm long;
