acorn 4-4.5 cm long, 2-2.5 cm wide; pointed, ellipsoid to cylindrical-ellipsoid, tomentose; singly or in pairs; enclosed 1/4 to 1/3 by cup; cup bowl-shaped, 1.5-1.7 cm long, 2.3 cm wide, 2-3 mm thick, tomentose both inside and outside, with 6-8 concentric rings, margin denticulate except 2-3 basal rings that are entire; scar 7 mm in diameter, slightly convex; stylopodium persistent, puberulent; maturing in 1 year;
